Stick It To Cancer started in 2017 when a 12 year old Marquette Junior Hockey player was diagnosed with cancer. The Marquette hockey community and Cancer Care of Marquette County rallied around his family and in 3 week time frame put together the Stick It To Cancer Tournament to help his family with expenses related to travel, food, lodging and bills during his treatment.

In 2024, Stick It To Cancer has entered it’s 8th year and continues to support cancer patients in the tournament has raised $17,000 on average each year. Stick It To Cancer also gives a portion to a local recipient and Cancer Care of Marquette County.

Cancer Care of Marquette County is a 501c3 organization. For every $100 raised, approximately $98 is given to patients. All donations are tax deductible.
